Free licence & how to credit our maps

All maps on India Map Hub are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.

You are free to

• use the maps in school and college projects, books, reports, presentations, videos, websites and apps;
• use them commercially, for example in printed products, client work or advertising;
• edit them: change colours, add labels, crop or combine them.

The one condition: give credit

Add a short credit line near the map, or in your credits or references. For example:

On websites, please link the credit to the map's page. Each map page has a ready-made credit line and embed code.

Please don't

• change India's boundary on our maps and still credit India Map Hub;
• present our maps as official Survey of India maps or authenticated survey documents.
